A girl with flowers in her hair, And stars in her eyes.

A girl with leaves lining her fingertips,

And a voice clearer and more beautiful than birdsong.

She smiled at me,

And I couldn't help but turn red in the cheek.

She laughed with me,

And I couldn't help but return the smile.

She danced with me,

And I couldn't help but let her lead.

She waltzed through the summer forest,

She grasped my hand, and dragged me in with her.

Her life was me,

We shared happiness like no one else before.

She sang with me,

And I couldn't help but sing along,

Even if my voice could not match hers.

Her death was me,

And I couldn't help but cry for her.

She told me not to worry about times passing,

But I couldn't help but miss her.

Seeing her again and now,

I realized.

There was simply something about her,

That just made me stare and wonder...

Be prepared y'all, you're going to be seeing quite an influx of deviations from me this april. Why? National Poetry Writing Month.

So I need to spout out 30 poems, good or bad, by the end of the month. Not all of them will be going to my main gallery, only the better ones. The rest will go to scraps. So if you don't want to see a flood of shit mixed with the good stuff, you might want to turn of scrapbook notifications for me if you have them on. I don't want to lose any of you watchers because you get fed up with the amount of poetry I'll be sending

I'll be (mostly) following

's prompts, though I might deviate a bit, and they probably won't all be free verse. I've sort of been moving out of the free verse direction with my poetry lately, and I don't want to change that if that's the direction I'm headed in.
